EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES

Emerging Technologies explores the role and impact of cutting-edge technologies within artistic practice, research in the arts, and higher art education. Through transdisciplinary collaborations, we foster artistic experimentation and critical reflection on technologies such as AI, VR, AR, IoT, and robotics—examining both their creative potential and socio-political implications. By integrating new technologies with traditional techniques, we create a dynamic environment that inspires dialogue, challenges assumptions, and shapes inclusive, sustainable approaches to technological innovation.

DISTINCT VOICES

Distinct Voices amplifies underrepresented perspectives in art, media, and design, addressing themes such as inclusivity, identity, indigeneity, disability, and care. It critically questions existing norms while empowering makers and communities to co-author their own narratives through artistic research and co-creative practices. By expanding artistic possibilities and fostering engaged citizenship, Distinct Voices positions PXL-MAD as a laboratory for plural and polyphonic art practices.
