Prof. Dr. Vlad Ionescu earned his PhD in Philosophy and Art Theory at KU Leuven with a dissertation on image and space in modern art history. He teaches art philosophy and contemporary art history at PXL-MAD and Hasselt University, exploring intersections between art, architecture, and design. His publications include Applied Arts, Implied Art: Craftsmanship and Technology in the Age of Art Industry and Pneumatology: An Inquiry into the Representation of Wind, Air, Breath.
Ionescu has contributed to critical editions of Jean-François Lyotard’s writings and continues to investigate how artistic and architectural practices shape cultural sustainability and epistemological frameworks.
